THE SOUL OF AN ANIMAL.
Does an animal have a soul?
Science and the people that exploit animals have argued for years that animals do not have souls. Does an animal feel pain? The same people will argue that animals do not feel pain like humans do. This argument tells us those scientist and people are uneducated and have no authority to make any claims.
No one human will feel pain like another human, our emotions are so intimate, that no one will experience their emotion the same way another person will experience their emotion. Our emotions are just like finger prints, no two are alike. Just like animals, they have proven they are emotional beings that do feel pain. Just like a human they will display a vast array towards the pain. Some will cry out, some will suffer quietly, we find the same reaction in humans in their reaction to pain.
Scientist have stated that they have studied the animals pain process and have concluded they do not feel pain like humans would. But unless those scientist can say they entered that animals body and experienced the experiments as the animal did inside the same body, the scientist are guessing at their own conclusions with no science or truth to back up their findings.
If any living being experiences emotion, would that mean they have a soul?
At one time European Americans claimed the American Indians were savage animals with no souls. This justified the murder of millions of Indians. It seems that humans repeat their past mistakes each time. If humans can’t understand another beings language, or if the being looks are different, it justifies the need to slaughter the misunderstood and different looking being.
21 And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good.
22 And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth.
23 And the evening and the morning were the fifth day.
24 And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so.
25 And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good. (The Holy Bible; King James Version, The Book of Moses, Genesis, chpt. 1, The Creation)
Why do think think the bible makes a distinction between every living creature, and the cattle, stating them as “their kind?” Then redirects and states them as “his kind?”
The Bible was translated so many times by so many different men, we can only speculate what the real written words might have said. But it is these written words that have justified Man’s abuse over the animals. Because the Bible separated them into “their kind.” But what if this was the wrong translation? Would and could we fix the mistake?
What does it mean to have a soul?
And could humans be arrogant enough to think they are the only beings to possess one?
